Sinossi: Lo chef Andy arriva in ritardo per il turno serale presso il suo ristorante londinese. Ai problemi personali con il figlio e l’ex-moglie si aggiungono le piccole beghe tra i membri del suo staff e un’ispezione sanitaria che ha trovato qualche magagna nella cucina. La squadra si prepara comunque ad accogliere gli ospiti, guidati dalla manager Beth, mentre l’aiuto di Andy, Carly, medita di accettare un’offerta di lavoro altrove. A complicare le cose ci si mette l’arrivo di Alistair, un tempo mentore di Andy e ormai divenuto celebrity chef in televisione. Tra i due c’è tensione, rivalità, e delle questioni di affari da risolvere.

 Recensione di Catello Masullo: Un film programmato per far sentire lo spettatore sempre fuori dalla zona di conforto. Angosciante, adrenalinico, ti tiene in sospensione per tutto il tempo. In tensione empatica con il protagonista, che viaggia costantemente sull’orlo dell’abisso, perdendo progressivamente il controllo della situazione e della sua stessa vita. La steadycam veleggia leggera, insegue lo sviluppo della storia saltando da una scena all’altra, da una storia all’altra, da un personaggio all’altro. Significativo quello che dice la grande critica gastronomica al grande chef: “Una recensione è come il sesso, si basa su quello che c’è e non su quello che non c’è!”.

Da non perdere.
