Recensione di Catello Masullo: Un’opera fatta di sguardi di infinita dolcezza e di amore profondo, ma anche di una irrefrenabile gioia di vivere. Illumina la pellicola ad ogni fotogramma un sorriso bellissimo, accogliente e coinvolgente, quello della protagonista Paulina Urrutia, attrice, già ministro della cultura del governo Bachelet. Non mancano i momenti più bui, con l’analisi puntuale e straziante del progressivo avanzamento dell’Alzheimer, l’ossessione per il protagonista, il cileno giornalista televisivo d’inchiesta Augusto Gòngora, che gli rubino i suoi libri. Paradossale che chi, come lui, che si è battuto per una vita per la conservazione della memoria collettiva dei cileni, debba progressivamente perdere la sua memoria individuale. Ci ha lasciati questo anno, nel 2023, dopo l’aggravarsi della sua malattia. Ci resta, in questo straordinario documento, l’inossidabile tenerezza con la quale la sua amata compagna  lo ha avvolto, protetto, ed accompagnato sino all’ultimo giorno. Un memorabile esempio di amore, di dedizione, di inclusione. Magistrale, da non perdere.
